There are a number of reasons why you would choose one certification body to another due to a number of differences. FSC  tends to be a lot more stringent compared to most forest certification schemes and FSC tends to be the prefered certification scheme with some organisations that carry out environmental impact assessment such as BREEAM but the UK Government Timber Procurement Policy tends to award equivalent points to PEFC and FSC based on Category A evidence.
